It was on June 13, 2011 when the First day of the first semester begun. The feeling of excitement was never abolished by the fact that it was a new environment and I came from a different school way back to Davao City a year before. In as much as I wanted to take it easy, but the eagerness and the willingness to be there was actually hard to manage due to mixed feelings which I know everyone was also going through. However, it’s such a blessing and an honor to be there while you see everyone smile at you and making friends, I can’t see anything wrong at that moment because I was also a newbie and it’ll took some time to catch things up.
Months later, I’m able to roam around the campus with my new acquaintances, waiting for our classes to took place and perform in each subject very well to contemplate something which soon you’ll call an accomplishment that could boost your self-esteem and help you achieve whatever you wanted to reach and aim for. Days and weeks passed, and I’ve created a circle of friends. However, things didn’t go exactly as I wanted it to be. Still, even if some inevitable circumstances occurred between us, I’ve managed to go on and fortunately, I fell on another set of new friends which up to now were still so considerate and thoughtful even though some of us were not classmates anymore.
I could say, first semester do have memories which was really worthy to be cherished and kept, for I learned a lot over the years that had passed and that semester also did a very good job on helping me to become a better person that could be my edge on reaching the pinnacle of my every dream. Furthermore, let me cite some occurrences which I barely forget because it was such an unforgettable experiences.
One of that was the undisputed Acquaintance Party which was very successful because everyone was dressed in their superb outfits. It seems that each of us had evolved from a simple student persona to outstanding, gorgeous, and stunning personalities of St. Mary’s College of Tagum. Afterwards, we’ve enjoyed the night full of entertainment and sumptuous dinner that was prepared by the school itself and additional dessert from every program. It’s a highly-spirited event that could heighten the momentum of every individual present on that occasion.
The next part was the Culmination of the Buwan ng Wika which took place on August 26, 2011. This was also one of the remarkable events because it just don’t aid students to remember the essence of it but as well as the effort of every participants should also earn a credit due to their full participation, from the fabulous FilipiƱana and Barong Tagalog attires, to executing gracefully to each Larong Pinoy, all of it were really stupendous in the making.
The last one was the celebration of the Foundation Day. It was a week-long festivity which took us out from our classrooms and was encouraged to participate in every event that was being prepared for us to be able to hone our hidden skills and talents in every field that we decided to pursue. Therefore, this event does not just shows entertainment but knowledge as well. So, to sum it all, that semester was a REMARKABLE ONEJ
